Acting Depute Head
Interviews took place yesterday for our Acting Depute Head Teacher as Mrs McKellar will be going on Maternity leave early in the New Year. I am delighted to announce that Mrs Pamela Bradley was the successful candidate.
Mrs Bradley will start on 12th February, 2020 and is very much looking forward to joining our team at Gourock Primary.
A huge thanks to Mrs Beck, Bailey and Katie and the wonderful pupils of Clydeview Academy staff and pupils for coming along to entertain us with their ‘Christmas Tour’. . We were thoroughly entertained.
A huge thanks to family and friends who came along to our Ecumenical service on Sunday 8th December. We were so proud of our choir and Mrs Hunter – they gave a wonderful performance of ‘What Christmas means to me’.
Our Christmas lunch is on Thursday 12th December. Children should still wear school uniform but may wear Christmas accessorises e.g. tinsel
Friday 13th December – Christmas Jumper day.
Pupils should wear school uniform but may add a Christmas Jumper and bring a donation for ‘Save the Children’ . We also have our Panto in the afternoon. The hall can become very warm so it may be an idea to wear a T-shirt under the jumper so that the children can take their jumper of if too hot!
Please see our calendar on our website for other dates such as Christmas Party/Nativity/ Christmas Service
Thanks to all who came along to support our Christmas fete and donated. It was such a successful event and could not have happened without our dedicated Parent Council and school staff who helped organise. We raised an incredible £3016 – What an achievement!!
Non uniform Day
Only 2 sleeps until the Christmas fete! Please remember that Friday 29th of November is a non-uniform day, pupils are to bring in 2 prizes (at the value of £1 each) for the lucky dip.
Christmas Fete: Saturday 30th November
Congratulations to everyone who entered our Parent Council poster contest. The standard was so high……We are delighted to announce that our winner was Euan and he will open the Fete on Saturday 30th November. Our PC and our runner up entries visited our local businesses/shops and we now have posters proudly on display across Gourock. Lets hope that this is our busiest fete yet.
Parent Council Pitch
A group of senior pupils pitched to our Parent Council to ask for funds to help expand our playground & Gym equipment. So proud of how confidently they spoke. Fingers crossed!
We felt very privileged to go along and lay a wreath at our local Remembrance service. A very touching service and lovely to join local groups in their parade.
Christmas fete poster competition
Congratulations to Euan in P3 for winning our Parent Council poster contest. Our parent Council will be visiting local businesses on Friday to ask if they can be displayed. Not long now to our fete….
