Write out the website address of ANY appropriate website- we will be using this in writing this week.
Today we watched a video about the continental drift, spanning over 600 million years. It can be found below:

Igneous- Igneous rocks for as liquid magma cools, forming crystal structured rocks.
Sedimentary- Sedimentary rocks are formed when pieces of other rocks or debris join together.
Metamorphic- Metamorphic rocks form deep within the Earth when heat and pressure are applied to either igneous rocks or sedimentary rocks.

The 3 types of rocks are: igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic. This is my link http://www.zephyrus.co.uk/rocktypes.html
Sedimentary: Formed from particles of sand, shells and pebbles which hardens over a long period of time.
Metamorphic: Formed under the surface of the earth from intense heat and pressure.
Igneous: Formed from cooled magma (molten rock found deep in the earth).Sometimes it erupts out of a volcano, then it is called lava.

Igneous Rocks
Igneous rocks are crystalline solids which form directly from the cooling of magma. This is an exothermic process (it loses heat) and involves a phase change from the liquid to the solid state. The earth is made of igneous rock – at least at the surface where our planet is exposed to the coldness of space. Igneous rocks are given names based upon two things: composition (what they are made of) and texture (how big the crystals are).
Sedimentary Rocks
In most places on the surface, the igneous rocks which make up the majority of the crust are covered by a thin veneer of loose sediment, and the rock which is made as layers of this debris get compacted and cemented together. Sedimentary rocks are called secondary, because they are often the result of the accumulation of small pieces broken off of pre-existing rocks. There are three main types of sedimentary rocks:
Clastic: your basic sedimentary rock. Clastic sedimentary rocks are accumulations of clasts: little pieces of broken up rock which have piled up and been “lithified” by compaction and cementation.
Chemical: many of these form when standing water evaporates, leaving dissolved minerals behind. These are very common in arid lands, where seasonal “playa lakes” occur in closed depressions. Thick deposits of salt and gypsum can form due to repeated flooding and evaporation over long periods of time.
Organic: any accumulation of sedimentary debris caused by organic processes. Many animals use calcium for shells, bones, and teeth. These bits of calcium can pile up on the seafloor and accumulate into a thick enough layer to form an “organic” sedimentary rock.
Metamorphic Rocks
The metamorphics get their name from “meta” (change) and “morph” (form). Any rock can become a metamorphic rock. All that is required is for the rock to be moved into an environment in which the minerals which make up the rock become unstable and out of equilibrium with the new environmental conditions. In most cases, this involves burial which leads to a rise in temperature and pressure. The metamorphic changes in the minerals always move in a direction designed to restore equilibrium. Common metamorphic rocks include slate, schist, gneiss, and marble. ๐

Anna, you can choose the way in which you present your project. Last year, some people used the computer on A4 sheets, others used handwritten sheets of different sizes. Most people present it in some form of book or folder. You may want to include games or interactive activities which will engage your reader.
BE CREATIVE!!

Wiki.ansers.com/q/what are three main types of rocks
The three types of rock are Igneous,Sedimentary and Metamorphic. The first rock,is formed underground. The second rock, are made out of deposit that is laid down on Earth and the third one,are rocks that are formed in extreme temperatures and pressure. My link was,http://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk
Igneous- a type of igneous rocks is fire rocks. They shoot out of volcanos as lava and they cool down when they hit the ground and they started out far underground.Granite is a common igneous rock.
Sedimentary- this rock was originally mud or shells of tiny sea creatures.
Metamorphic- this rock is made out of igneous rock and sedimentary rock. When it meets up with heat the pressure makes a crystal inside the rock and if it already does it makes the crystal bigger.
My websit is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Hutton
I have written them down but here they are anyway:
Rocks: Igneous–those that form directly from a molten stage.Sedimentary–those that form from eroded particles of various sizes from other rocks.Metamorphic–igneous and sedimentary rocks, and sometimes metamorphic rocks, that undergo a transformation from heat and/or pressure.

Here’s a website to help you.
The first rock is the ingeous rock and those are the rocks that come out of a volcano. The most common on is the gronite rock.
The second rock is the sedimentary rock and these rocks are mud, dust and shell that sink to the bottom of the ocean or pound and eventually turn into rock. the most common one is the limestone rock.
The third rock is the metamorphic rock plus it’s basiclly made from the first two rocks. This rock is not as common as the first two rocks. You could say it’s carbon turning into dimonds.

(metamorphic

sedimentary are all types of rock)
The Igneous Rock- the surface of the world is made of Igneous rock, it is a crystalline solid which means it is in a way realated to a crystal.
The Sedimentary Rock- The Sedimentary rock is a thin and loose layer that covers the main Igneous rock layer.
The Metamorphic Rock- Any rock can be a metamorphic rock it justdepends on the atmosphere.
