This week was our last week of remote learning, but we did a lot of really great learning, take a look at what we have been up to this week.
We have been so busy this week, learning new sounds, common words, reading from our books, and adding up to 10. Take a look at all the cool things. we’ve been doing.
This week, we have all been working very hard and sharing our learning. We had a Glow meet on Thursday and it was great fun. We’ve been learning addition, new sounds and common words and even 3D shapes. Take a look at what we’ve been up to this week.

Here are some of the things Primary 3 have been doing over the festive season!
We had Christmas lunch. Thanks to everyone at the dinner hall.
We learned about Christmas in Germany and drew Christmas trees.
We were also visited by elves who enjoyed our cosy classroom fire.

We are still working on Literacy and Numeracy in class.
We have been writing acrostic poems, reading and learning to spell. Everyone has been trying hard to make their jotter work neat and accurate.
We have been learning about Place Value and Number Words in Numeracy.
Thomas made a lovely poster of the number words at home.
Cara is writing tally marks to match the number name.
Lots of people have been working really hard in their jotters.

We made birds to decorate the school tree.
We have been learning about Christmas in Germany.
We watched a film about Christmas markets in Germany. The looked amazing!
Sadly, I have to report some very mischievous behaviour in class, but it hasn’t been the children! Have a look at one of our visitors.

We have been learning about nouns in Literacy this week. We have done lots of different tasks to helps us to learn about nouns. We worked with a partner to find nouns in our reading books and sorted them into nouns which were People, Places and Things.
Lachlan found the word ‘painting’ and we talked about how it could be a noun or a verb depending on the sentence. Grammar can be quite tricky!
