Consent processes and materials

Glasgow Educational Psychology Service has updated its consent processes and created supporting materials for referrers to seek informed consent for our involvement.

Our Consent for EP involvement flowchart guides referrers on who to gain consent from when it has been agreed that EP involvement may be appropriate following discussion at a SIIM or JST. Our additional materials are all linked in the flowchart but can be accessed through the links below too.

Supporting materials for referrers:
Supporting materials for parents/carers/families:

Additional information for parents/carers can be found in the Parents and Carers section of our website.

Supporting materials for children and young people:

These resources are designed to give information on what Educational Psychologists (EPs) do in order to support gaining informed consent from young people, or involve them in decisions around EP involvement as much as possible. We hope to get feedback from Glasgow’s children and young people on these resources to inform future versions.

Additional information for children and young people can be found in our Children and Young People section of our website.
