Dyscalculia

The information below provides a position paper from GPS regarding dyscalculia/numerical difficulties. The paper summarises the research and evidence base available for dyscalculia, which can be shared with relevant partners and stakeholders, and concludes that GPS will continue to focus on identifying the specific nature of a child’s strengths and needs within their unique environment, and how we can work collaboratively to effectively build on these strengths and remove identified barriers to learning. Further reading/sources of support are also included below.
