Summary of Learning
Term 1 is about settling into our new class and establishing new routines and creating a positive learning environment. We hope to create opportunities for collaborative learning, sparking creativity and embracing challenge across the curriculum.
Literacy
Our novel study is The Boy in The Girl’s Bathroom. We will be focussing on our reading strategies, different types of questions as well as looking at new vocabulary. For writing, we will be covering Explanation – looking at the appropriate features.
Numeracy and Maths
Focus is Place Value and 4 operations
Topic
HWB focus – Inside Out. We will explore the different types of emotions and feelings and how we can manage them.
PE Days – Wednesday & Thursday
We are fortunate to be working with a PE specialist Mr Penman on a Wednesday.
