Summary of Learning
Term 4 is about demonstrating our growing independence and showing confidence in the routines we’ve built throughout the year. We will be reminding pupils to take ownership of their learning, while maintaining the positive, supportive classroom climate we have created together. Across all areas of learning, we will be encouraging pupils to think critically, solve problems creatively and apply their skills with increasing maturity as we move towards the end of Primary 6.
Literacy
Our Novel will be The Breadwinner by Deborah Ellis. We will be focussing on our reading strategies, main features of a text and comparison of 2 contrasting texts. In writing, we will be procedural writing and in Talking and Listening, presenting to others.
Numeracy and Maths
Focus will be fractions and decimals, reinforcing our times tables and shape.
Topic
We will be learning about The Commonwealth and The Commonwealth Games as part of Social Studies.
HWB
