Summary of Learning
In literacy we will be beginning the Daily Supported Reading programme each morning at 9am to increase our fluency and expression when reading texts. In phonics we will continue to learn and overlearn sounds to support our reading and written work. In writing we will be creating a recount. We will be focusing on using capital letters, full stops and finger spaces as well as how we can use our phonics and common words to write super sentences.
In Numeracy and Maths we will be focusing on reciting, ordering, reading and writing numbers to 100. We will also be exploring different strategies to help us add and subtract. In Maths, we will be exploring money and the coins we can use up to £1.
Our topic this term will be focused on our emotions. We will be looking at the different emotions we face everyday, how we feel these in our bodies and how we can deal with them. We will be reading loads of stories and looking at some of the characters from Inside Out to support with this. We will also be continuing to use the iPads in class to help support with our learning. We will be showing how we can use them safely as well as scanning QR codes. In RME, we will be talking about our values, how we can show the school values and using these to create our class charter.
PE Days
Our PE days this term will be Monday and Thursday. Please come to school dressed for PE and wearing no jewellery. Monday’s PE is outdoors, so please bring a jacket and have a spare pair of clothes in bags.
