Summary of Learning

In literacy we will be continuing the Daily Supported Reading programme each morning at 9am to increase our fluency and expression when reading texts.  In phonics we will continue to learn and overlearn sounds to support our reading and written work. In writing we will be learning how to write instructions as well as continuing to build amazing sentences using our phonics.

In Numeracy and Maths we will be continuing to recite, order, read and write numbers to 100 and extending our knowledge of addition and subtraction. In Maths, we will be exploring patterns through numbers and symbols.

Our topic this term will be  all about Scotland. We will be able to find Scotland and Glasgow on a map, discuss famous people who have come from Scotland, and we will be exploring the famous landmarks. We will also be continuing to use the iPads in class to help support with our learning. We will be showing how we can use them safely as well as scanning QR codes. In RME, we will be learning about Christianity in the lead up to Christmas!

PE Days

Our PE days this term will be Monday and Thursday. Please come to school dressed for PE and wearing no jewellery. Monday’s PE is outdoors, so please bring a jacket and have a spare pair of clothes in bags.
