Sports day will take place on Friday 4th May at 9.30am in our playground. All parents, carers and family friends are invited to come along and support their house on the day. Sport your house colours with pride for Sports Day!

Throughout the week we will be offering Wake Up, Shake Up sessions to help us feel energised for the day ahead. Sessions will run from 8.30-9am (Tuesday-Friday) and all parents, carers, pupils and staff are welcome to come along and take part…see you there!
Learning for Sustainability Week at Balornock will begin on Monday 30th April. This will be an all encompassing themed week for our pupils addressing learning within Eco Schools, RRS and HWB. Pupils will be undertaking various activities including nature walks, yoga, designing a school mascot, etc. This is sure to be an exciting week for everyone with lots of fantastic learning experiences for our pupils. Primary 1a have been very busy in class upon their return to school after their Easter holidays! Term four marks the final step in our Primary 1 journey…what a quick year it has been so far! We will be spending time preparing ourselves for our transition towards the next stage of our journey into Primary 2. Term four is going to be a very exciting one for us all!!! Stay tuned…..
We went on an Easter egg hunt… We wrote to the Easter Bunny… We made our own Easter egg creations… HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!
The boy and girls in Primary 1a performed a lovely Spring song in our Daffodil Tea. The song was called Spring Chicken and we shared it with all of the families and friends as they sat with a cup of tea/coffee and delicious cake. We had a fabulous time performing and we can’t wait to hear how much money Balornock raised for Marie Curie.
Primary 1a were inspired by the WWF Earth Hour 2018 video and decided to write their own ‘Promises to the Planet’. Have a look at some of the promises that we have made to help look after our lovely planet: We have learned that making very simple, small changes can have a positive impact on the planet now and in the future. Earth Hour in Balornock Primary will take place on Friday 23rd March between 1-2pm. During this hour, all lights and electrical appliances will be switched off.
