Professional football contract signed by U19s goalkeeper

Congratulations to Ben Swinton (S6) who signed his first professional contract with Dunfermline Athletic Football Club last week.

A product of AM Soccer and the school’s football teams, this honour caps an amazing season for Ben who won the Fife Cup and League trophies with the school; Ben added a victory in a national cup competition.

This hard working young player will join his teammates at Dunfermline during the summer.  Good luck!

Anti-bullying advice

Nobody has the right to hurt other people by hitting them, kicking them, calling them names, spreading rumours about them or doing anything else which is intended to be upsetting.  If you think you’re being bullied then find out how we can help: look under the “Learning” tab.

Anti-bullying advice

The links below will take you to our new online school reporting system.  Whether you are the victim, a witness or a parent/guardian, you can complete one of these forms to let us know about an alleged bullying incident in the school.

S1 – Report a bullying incident
S2 – Report a bullying incident
S3 – Report a bullying incident
S4 – Report a bullying incident
S5 – Report a bullying incident
S6 – Report a bullying incident

Bullying will not be tolerated in Bell Baxter and action will be taken where necessary and in line with school consequences.  We will investigate all reported incidents and update you as soon as possible.

Further information about bullying can be found on the respectme, Scotland’s anti-bullying service, website.

Anti-bullying workshops

As part of our ongoing work on anti-bullying matters, all S3 pupils participated in workshops this week looking specifically at cyberbullying.

Led by the Fife Digital Learning Team, the sessions focused on the impact cyberbullying can have on an individual; encouraged pupils to discuss the impact, and asked our young people how the cyberbullying could be stopped.

These sessions really made our young people think about their own and others online behaviour.

Further advice about this matter can be found on the CEOPs supported website, Think U Know.

Fife Schools Cross Country Championships

Congratulations to our DAS Cross Country team who were successful at the recent Fife Schools Cross Country Championships held at Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy.

The following medals were won by our pupils:

Gold – Jack Hanly (S2)
Silver – Thomas Quigg (S1) & Sophie Coughlin (S3)
Bronze – Arran Howe (S6)

The team have had a very successful season claiming medals at most competitions this year.  Our ‘thanks’ also go to our staff who have supported the pupils throughout the year.

Fantastic team effort!
