Senior Prom

Last Wednesday we said farewell to our S6 learners as they embark on the next stage of their lives.  Prom 2019 was celebrated in style at Balbirnie House Hotel, where staff and pupils enjoyed a fabulous meal and danced the night away to music by DJ Paul Clark of Revolution Discos.

We were so proud of all our young people, especially when the hotel’s manager congratulated the staff on the conduct of our pupils.

We would like to thank all of the staff who supported the event, as without their help this evening would not run.  We must also thank Paul from Revolution Discos for keeping the dance floor full all night and Style-a-Chair who very generously gave us a great deal on the chair covers.

Finally, we would like to send our pupils off with our very best wishes for the future.  We hope you’ll come back and visit us in years to come!

“Darien” starts tonight!

We would like to send our ‘best wishes’ to the cast, crew and staff for the opening night of “Darien”.

‘Darien: The Commonplace Book of Murdo MacFarlane’ is opening tonight (Thursday) at the beautiful Byre Theatre, St Andrews.  The show will run until Saturday night, so grab tickets while you still can. The cast and crew have spent hours in the theatre this week preparing for our run of performances and the production is looking/sounding amazing.

Get you ticket!

Please come along and support the pupils for what will be a great night out for all the family.  We’ve even got an exclusive preview of the opening number, ‘Welcome to the Darien’.  Definitely not a show to miss!

Junior Awards Ceremony

Congratulations to all of the pupils in S1 – S3 who were awarded prizes at last night’s Junior Awards Ceremony.  It was terrific to see the achievements of all our young people, and the hard work of our staff, being celebrated at this prestigious event.

We would like to take the opportunity to ‘thank’ Hazel Robertson, Explorer-in-Residence for the Royal Scottish Geographical Society and member of The Polar Academy, for agreeing to be our guest of honour.  Hazel talked to our pupils about her experiences and how these translate into other areas of her life – very inspirational!

Well done!

Look what happened in May

With our senior pupils out on Study Leave you would think that things would be quieter in the school – this wasn’t the case during a busy May.

We welcomed the P7s to Bell Baxter for a day of “getting to know the school” activities; our S2 Business classes worked together to raise an incredible £784.90 as part of Mental Health Awareness Week, and we had a team win the Creative Spaces Challenge.

Well done to pupils and staff!
