Expressive Arts visit Ardeonaig

The Expressive Arts Faculty organised a trip to Ardeonaig for our more senior pupils two weekend’s ago.  In addition to participating in workshops run by the faculty’s staff, the pupils also had the opportunity to under take some challenges as part of the high ropes course and other activities offered by the centre.

School production – “Darien” update

The “Darien” cast and staff have been putting in a lot of hard work over the last few months in preparation for their performances at the Byre Theatre, St Andrews later in the year.  Rehearsals for the musical are well underway with the cast now in the studio to start recording their sessions.

Burns Competition success!

We are pleased to announce the following achievements in the Cupar Burns Competition today.  All of the competitiors represented the school extremely well and there were a number of placings.

Recitation
1st – Ella McGeorge (S1)
2nd Eve Cuthbertson (S1)

Singing
1st – Helen Black (S2)
2nd – Samantha Ellis (S1)

Instrumental
1st – Cameron McLaren (S5) – Accordian
2nd – Ronan Emmerson (S1) – Snare drum
3rd – Helen Black (S2) – Piano

Piping
1st – Kenzie Philliban (S1)
2nd – Daniel Staal (S4)
3rd – Owen Stark (S1)

Although not placed, Atholl Emmerson (S1), Madaline Smiles (S1), Hannah Staal (S2) and Rebecca Reid (S2) performed well at the competition.
