TMM starts with a short storytelling video and continues with creative activities and games that raise self-awareness in actions, thoughts and feelings that might hurt their own future.
The experience concludes with each student gaining a fresh perspective of themselves through active reflection.
Activity 1 – This colourful and dynamic tabletop brainstorming experience uncovers and explores how certain actions, things they say or do, that might inadvertently create barriers for themselves. Prizes are awarded to the table with the most actions listed.
Activity 2 – ‘Thoughts’ card game reviews thinking styles and patterns contributing to harmful actions identified during brainstorming.
Activity 3 – ‘Feelings’ card game engages students to raise self-awareness and prioritize their emotions for more positive outcomes in the future.
TMM comprises two school periods delivered by an Identity associate with one school staff member also taking part. Once school delivery is complete the school staff member oversees the short ongoing workbook reflection process in which students…
· Identify 1 action/thought/feeling that resonates from the brainstorming activity.
· This 1 action/thought/feeling is explored and written about daily with 5 easy questions.
· The 5 questions are addressed for 7 days thus changing habits.
Each student walks away with a literal toolkit to make better decisions in the future.
· TMM workbooks
· TMM wristbands
· TMM four sided cards
Each school walks away with their own toolkit to carry on the good work.
· TMM ‘thoughts’ card pack
· TMM ‘emotions’ card pack
The icing on the cake is students are awarded YoungScot points for school participation.
Ideally delivered to 70 students this programme is flexible depending on school needs. As such price will vary according to how many students attend.
