Thank you to the parents who came along last night to the information evening for Lockerbie Manor.  If you were unable to attend yesterday, I have attached a leaflet (lockerbie-leaflet) and listed some details below. You will receive more information nearer the time e.g. what clothes your children should pack, contact details, arrival and departure times etc.

Uplawmoor pupils will travel with P7 pupils from either Neilston or Crookfur Primaries (to be decided once total numbers of pupils participating are received).

The cost of the trip at present is unknown but will be in the region of £265.00 which includes accommodation, all meals, activities and transport.  A non-returnable deposit of £50 will be required to be paid by Friday, 14th October with the balance being paid in stages throughout the year.  Please pay this initial deposit via the Payment for Schools link using your child’s SCN Number.  This link can be found on the school website. Our Final Day at Lockerbie Manor

By Shannon Walsh,

So, our adventures have come to an end. We have made lots of new friends from Crookfur and Neilston and have all faced lots of fears!

imageDespite missing her little sister, Erin’s favourite part was canoeing and kayaking and she managed to stay relatively dry. Niamh loved the evening walk and although it was hard work reaching the top, the views were beautiful. Innes faced his fears on the zip wire and flew through the air like Indiana Jones! His favourite activity was the obstacle course though.

Rob did a great job tackling the low ropes which was also Tiana’s highlight because she loved the challenge of travelling across the tyres.  As for me, my highlight was abseiling as I’m afraid of heights and I managed to conquer my fears by walking backwards down a huge wall!

We’ve had a brilliant trip and although we’ve missed our friends and families we’ve had a great experience and have made memories and friends we will never forget.
