RRS Day of Action Friday 30th September

St Thomas’ Primary is having a Rights Respecting Schools’ Day of Action on Friday 30th September in which all pupils will take part. The aim is to celebrate diversity and to raise awareness of the United Nations “Global Goals” and how everyone, however young they are, needs to take part to realise these Goals.

As part of our RRS Day of Action, the children are invited to wear something blue, own clothes, and in so doing contribute £1 towards school funds.

A letter with all information has been sent home to families today.  This letter is also available under ‘letters and newsletters’ tab.

Bags of Help offers community groups and projects in each of Tesco’s regions across the UK a share of revenue generated from the 5p charge levied on single-use carrier bags.

The public will now vote in store from 26 September to 9 October on who should receive the £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 awards. In total, there is over £12.5 million up for grabs.
