The Big Make

IMG-20160323-WA0000Pupils and members of staff have all taken part in creating a whole school piece of art.

The sculptures represent us as unique individuals and also together as one.  Each sculpture has two eyes which signify our shared vision as a school.  The large eyes represent having our eyes open to the world, ready to learn new things and ready to help others in need.

When you look at the art work, notice that each sculpture is based on the same design but each one is unique.

At St. Thomas’ we encourage all pupils to take pride in their achievements.  This artwork is a shared success that can be shared amongst pupils, staff and the whole school community.

Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers

We are pleased to tell you that we’re taking part in Sainsbury’s Active Kids 2016.  This means that until the 3rd May, you can collect vouchers at Sainsbury’s and donate them to us.  We can then exchange the vouchers for exciting new sports and cooking equipment and experiences for our kids.

Simply bring your vouchers into school and either drop them in our collection box which you’ll find at the office reception window or give them directly to Miss Watson or Mrs Holmes.

Active Kids is a great way for our community to join together to help our kids eat well, move well and live well.  So please ask your neighbours, friends and family to help collect vouchers too.

Thank you!

Vision and Values

Saint Thomas’ Primary School

VISION AND VALUES

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to revising our vision and values. We will be displaying these around the school and on our website to ensure that everyone is familiar with the values that we have identified as being most important to our school community. These will lie at the heart of everything we do here in St Thomas’ Primary.

We value RESPECT

We will treat everyone equally and with courtesy and kindness,
We will respect and care for each member of our school community.

We value HONESTY

We will be open and truthful with one another.

We value ACHIEVEMENT

We will encourage and support one another to achieve excellence and contribute to a culture of ambition where successes and achievements are recognised and celebrated.

We value COMMUNITY

We will work together with members of our Parish and Local communities to ensure that everyone is valued, included and encouraged to contribute.

We value POSITIVE ATTITUDES

We will think for ourselves, encouraging all to adopt positive attitudes to progress, change and improvement.

In everything, we will do the best we can.

Devised by children, all staff and parents/carers, this reflects our shared vision and beliefs as members of a Catholic school Community as we strive to ensure that everyone achieves their full potential by using their God given talents.
