Catholic Education Week

Catholic Education Week 2024

Catholic Education Week takes place each year from the Feast of St Margaret of Scotland (16th November) until the Feast of St Andrew (30th November).

The Holy Father has confirmed that 2025 will be a year of Jubilee, something which happens every 25 years. The theme is “Pilgrims of Hope”, and it will be a year of hope for a world suffering the impacts of war, the ongoing effects of COVID-19 pandemic, and a climate crisis.

“We must fan the flame of hope that has been given us, and help everyone to gain new strength and certainty by looking to the future with an open spirit, a trusting heart and far- sighted vision. The forthcoming Jubilee can contribute greatly to restoring a climate of hope and trust as a prelude to the renewal and rebirth that we so urgently desire; that is why I have chosen as the motto of the Jubilee, Pilgrims of Hope. ” Pope Francis

This year we have several events running during Catholic Education Week. We thank our Laudato Si’ Parent Faith group for facilitating the St Ninian’s Parent Reflection Evening following on from the successful night last year. Children will be reflecting on living as “Pilgrims of Hope” and trusting in what God has promised.

Please refer to SCES Website for resources you can use at home with your children.
