Our friends from the Beatson Cancer Charity have been in touch to thank us for our fundraising that took place in Central Station in December. I am delighted to share that the total amount of money raised by our talented musicians from the Performing Arts Department was £2,291.04! Congratulations to all who helped raise this astounding amount in one day!

E-mail from Head Coach of the GB Women’s Volleyball Team
I am absolutely gob smacked with the fantastic efforts of your school in raising a whopping £5,086 for the GB women. Please pass on a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all the kids and the staff involved, it totally exceeded any expectations we might have had. This for sure will make a difference to our preparations next summer when the girls return from playing pro.
How on earth did you manage to raise so much money? I know Lynne came into the school and spent time at assemblies and some classes, I am sure she was a big inspiration. I am proud and honoured to have Lynne as the captain of the GB team, she is a credit to Scotland, GB and Mearns Castle High School.
Once again, thank you so much for getting behind the GB women’s team and raising money to keep our Olympic journey alive. All the very best. Audrey
