Mearns Castle pupils are working hard to contribute to Mary’s Meals the project that supports children in third world countries.

Raffle For Yearbook
The sixth year are holding a raffle in order to raise funds for their yearbook and pron. Tickets will be on sale from Monday 30th January in the Open Area. Tickets will also be available for family and friends.
Prizes include a meal for two at the Eglinton Arms Hotel, Eaglesham. Meal for two at The Swan, Eaglesham. Meal for two at Clark & Sons, Clarkston. A round of Golf at Mearns Castle Golf Academy. Cut and blow dry at Andrew Kay Hairdressers. Tickets for a top football match at Hampden.
The winners will be announced week beginning 20th February .
Football Forum
The football forum has now been moved from a Friday lunchtime to a Monday lunchtime. It will continue to take place in the PE classroom.
We are looking for new members, so if you want to come along on a Monday lunchtime and debate (argue) the latest incidents from the world of football – then everyone is welcome (even staff!!).
S6 Drop-in Workshop for College Applications
Any S6 pupil is welcome to get assistance with college applications each week in Jan and Feb.
Mondays 3 in Rm D13 and Tuesdays 5 in Rm D10.
Marys Meals Backpack Appeal
The Backpack Appeal is running again this year but with a surprising twist! All those that hand in a full backpack will be entered into a free prize draw to win a £50 VOUCHER TO SPEND AT SILVERBURN
All you need to fill a backpack is the following items:

S1 PSE Personal Safety Poster competition
Congratulations to the following S1 pupils for their entries in the PSE Personal Safety Poster competition.

After School Clubs
After school clubs will start the week beginning Monday 23rd January. Letters will be collected period 7 Monday 16th January. If you were absent on this day, you can collect a letter from the school office or the PE department until the end of January. If you wish to attend a club after this, you must speak directly to the teacher in charge of the activity.
