Vocational Course Delivery During Cop26

Please see the planned course delivery due to Cop26 traffic disruption, road closures, strikes, etc. (1st – 12th November).

All Glasgow Foundation Apprenticeships’ will be online.  West College Scotland Foundation Apprenticeships’ will be delivered as usual.

Please note – all students who’s courses are moving online during this period and who are over 16 should work from home during this time.

Those students who are under 16 or cannot work from home should report to Mrs Hamilton or Miss Crosby in Pupil Support.

Please ensure you have clarified these arrangements with your child prior to next weeks’ college sessions.

Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC)

Now more than ever the environment, agriculture and the rural economy are providing many opportunities for a variety of exciting careers in this growing employment sector, which many young people may now be considering.

We will be holding live virtual open events rather than on campus visits for now, these events allow the pupils to hear directly from the course tutors and lecturers and have any questions answered during the session. You can access future events by visiting www.sruc.ac.uk/opendays

College applications will open tomorrow.

To support S4, S5 and S6 pupils who are applying to college to start in August the following ICT rooms have been booked. There will be support from Pupil support and Chris the careers advisor to help complete applications.

If you are applying you must register in class first then come prepared with a short personal statement and know the course you are applying for. Applications can also be made at home.
