S1-S6 Jewish Lunch Club

The Jewish Lunch Club is back! Come and have a chat and a free lunch in the Contemplation Room on Tuesday 29 October at 12.20pm.

Our guest speaker Rabbi Andrew Shaw will lead a discussion on “Apple and Blackberry – was life better when they were just fruit?”. This is a friendly and relaxed event, to catch up with old friends and make new ones!

Starting from Friday 25th October Mr McWhinnie is going to begin holding an S1 history club every Friday at lunchtime in room 109.

This is an opportunity for those with an interest to explore periods in History that we don’t always get a chance to in class, look at movies and games they’ve inspired, be involved in whole-school projects AND mess about with Lego. An awful lot of Lego. And quite possibly some playdough…”

Miss Burns Amnesty Group

Thank you to all who have attended the first meeting and who have expressed an interest in the group.

Mr Joyce in RMPS and Miss Burns will be delighted to see you all on the first Thursday after the October holiday (Thursday 24th October) in Room B2 in English at lunchtime.

Please come at 12.30 and bring lunch with you. The group will continue to run every week at the same time and place.

Table Tennis

Do you like tables? Do you like Tennis? What about playing tennis ON a table?

Table Tennis @ MCHS starts on Thursday the 19th of September in the New Gym. All you need to do is change into your trainers and swap your shirt for a T-shirt. Eat your lunch before you come along so you don’t get crumbs on our tables.

Everyone is welcome – the club would especially encourage absolute beginners to come
