Any pupils who still have outstanding equipment must return it as soon as possible.
Pupils must also make sure that their projects are handed in or else they cannot complete the expedition section of the award.
S1 Maths Club
There will be a weekly S1 Maths Club running on Tuesday lunchtimes, with exciting competitions and events throughout the year.
Any S1 pupil interested in joining should attend a welcome meeting at 12.30pm on Tuesday 21st August in room F15.

S3, S4 and S5 Pupils
All S3-5 pupils are required to wear a navy polo shirt for PE.
These will be available to buy on Friday and Monday, before school from 8.15am and at the beginning of lunchtime in the Old Gym.
They are priced at £11.
Welcome Back
School starts again today for pupils at Mearns Castle High School. We hope you have all had a great summer holiday and are looking forward to the new term.

Our new S1 pupils have been taking part in a Volleyball Camp these past three days.
Perhaps amongst them is a potential volleyball star who can go on an represent Great Britain in the 2020 Olympic Games?
Lynne Reflects on Olympic Experience
Despite only winning one game in Pool A Lynne Beattie is upbeat about the whole Olympic experience for the GB ladies team.
“We competed at times but it wasn’t enough,” said Lynn.
“The main thing we can take is competing against the best teams in the world, that’s an experience in itself.”
The GB captain added: “The next step is taking sets and wins against these teams.”

Susan Performs at Olympics
Former Mearns Castle pupil Susan Egelstaff won one and lost one game in her Olympic debut at badminton.
Susan who is currently 38th in world rankings competed in Group H against Sayaka Sato of Japan and Maja Tvrdy of Slovenia. Susan beat Tvrdy 2-0 and lost to Sato 2-1.
Well done Susan!
