Former pupil and now football star with Millwall FC Murray Wallace visited the school today. He donated a signed shirt which is now on display in our sporting hall of fame. Thanks Murray from everyone at MCHS. We are proud of you and we wish you continued success in your career.
Former pupil Moray West is set to release a new vocal album ‘Scotland Boy’ was recorded by Moray and The Orchestra of Scottish Opera a few years ago and is a charity album to raise funds for the Ciaran Pryce Appeal
The album is an eclectic collections of songs and showcases Moray’s outstanding musical talent alongside some of the finest musicians in our country.
Mearns Castle High School is extremely proud of Moray and can’t wait for the albums’s release at the start of April

Despite only winning one game in Pool A Lynne Beattie is upbeat about the whole Olympic experience for the GB ladies team.
“We competed at times but it wasn’t enough,” said Lynn.
“The main thing we can take is competing against the best teams in the world, that’s an experience in itself.”
The GB captain added: “The next step is taking sets and wins against these teams.”

Former Mearns Castle pupil Susan Egelstaff won one and lost one game in her Olympic debut at badminton.
Susan who is currently 38th in world rankings competed in Group H against Sayaka Sato of Japan and Maja Tvrdy of Slovenia. Susan beat Tvrdy 2-0 and lost to Sato 2-1.
