Skills Development Scotland will be hosting a free webinar aimed to provide parents/carers and individuals with information on the support available for those with Additional Support Needs to take a Foundation, Modern or Graduate Apprenticeship.

EMA – Information

If pupils are 16 years of age or over before 30 September 2023, they may be eligible for an EMA from August 2023 If the application is not submitted by 30 September 2023 the award will only be made from the week the application is received.

If pupils are 16 years of age between 1 October 2023 and 28 February 2024, they may eligible for an EMA from January 2024. if the application is not submitted by 29 February 2024 the award will only be made from the week the application is received.

The cut-off date for all EMA’s is 31st March 2024

e-Sgoil – Exam Mindset Guide

This week e-Sgoil has launched an Exam Mindset Guide which is packed full of videos and other resources to help support learners to mentally prepare for exams and assessments.  There is a huge range of advice and techniques to help maximise learners’ potential.  There is also a section for parents and carers to support their young people.

On Wednesday April 19th at 7.00pm, Marion and Felicity from Autism Understanding Scotland are joining us to explore “Understanding Neurodiversity and School Phobia”. 

 

We thought this topic would be of interest to school staff, and as such, once again we’re opening up this session to anyone who lives or works in East Renfrewshire
