Charities Week
A very big thank you to everyone in the school for contributing to a very successful Charities Week. The total raised at this point is £5,400, which is well up on the figure at this time last year, so well done to everyone!
We now finish off our fundraising activities with ‘Look Back in Laughter’ – the evening shows which feature a selection of the acts from the Charities Week lunchtime shows. The two Look Back in Laughter shows take place next Monday and Tuesday evenings (Monday 21st Nov and Tues 22nd Nov) from 7.30pm until 9.45pm and friends, relations, mums, dads, aunties and uncles are all welcome. Tickets cost £3 each and are on sale all this week at lunchtimes in the Open Area. As ever, tickets will only be sold to pupils who are ‘on colour’.
Tickets for the Great Balloon Race and the Golden Ticket raffle will be on sale up until the Tuesday of Look Back in Laughter. These tickets will also be on sale at lunchtimes in the Open Area every day this week.
Let’s get the total up to £7,000!! Buy your tickets this week !!

Famous Moment in History
Duke of Edinburgh
There will be a meeting for the pupils currently doing Silver Duke of Edinburgh in the week following charities week.
Any pupils who have completed Bronze Award can now collect certificates and badges from Mrs Ward (E2). Anyone still to complete must make sure their EDofE record is up to date and hand completed log books to Mrs Ward.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Jamie Gemmell (S5) who has been selected, once again, to represent Scotland in the International Pentathlon match which is being held on Saturday 3rd December.
The match is taking place in the Kelvin Hall Sports Arena and is against school teams from England, Ireland and Wales.
This is a fantastic achievement and a reward for the dedication Jamie has shown to his sport. Well Done!
