Ski Trip – January 2019 (for current S2 Pupils)
A ski trip has been provisionally arranged for pupils entering S3 in August. The trip will take place in January of 2019.

Scottish Indoor Rowing Championships 2017
The following students were at The Scottish Rowing championships all day on Friday 17/11/17 and competed for the school.
Individual Event
- Beth Kennedy 4th in Individual S6 Girls
- Emma Morrison 2nd in Individual S4 Girls event
- Kendal Armitt 2nd in Individual S2 Girls event
Team Event

This Team of 4 S2 Girls were second in Scotland in the Team event.

S3 Personal Development Class – Outward Bound Trip
On Thursday 9th November the S3 Personal Development Class attended an Outward Bound trip at Castle Semple.
Activities included Mountain Biking and Canoeing.

British Paralympic Swimmer of 2017
Many thanks for your support regarding Andrew’s nomination for British Paralympic swimmer of 2017 – the good news is that on Saturday night he won the award!!
Another great achievement – check out the link below to hear him after receiving the award. He has matured into confident, considered and thoughtful young man. Yet another great achievement – well done!
ANDREW MULLEN – VOTE TODAY
As many of you will know Andrew Mullen (former pupil who left in 2014) is a member of Team GB – Paralympic Swimming Team.
He was part of London 2012 Team GB reaching the finals of all his events and narrowly missing medals.
In 2016 in Rio he won 2 Bronze and 1 Silver Paralympic medals – an amazing achievement.
His next aim is gold in Tokyo 2020.
He is now one of 3 British swimmers to be nominated for British Para Swimmer of the year – voting is only open until Friday and the link is given below.

Ex Mearns pupil storms Manchester Half Marathon
Congratulations to former pupil Luke Traynor who won the Manchester Half Marathon, breaking the course record on his half marathon debut.

Summer Volleyball Camp
