MCHS pupil Jamie Rigg has been selected as a Commonwealth Baton Carrier.
Jamie will carry the Baton on Wednesday 16th July from Clarkston Hall to Clarkston Road.
Jamie pictured above wearing his Baton Holder’s uniform, will be carrying the Baton at approximately 1:25pm.
S2, S3 and S4 have been busily producing Commonwealth Flags in Citizenship classes. These Flags will be used to create bunting to line the Route the Queen’s Baton will take through East Renfrewshire on the 16th July.
Of course, there has to be a bit of competition with the best flags being awarded with House points. The winners were Emma Smith and Javairia Sami, Helen Hewitt and Mahnoor Rahman.
Could any pupils who have any work or models left within the Technical department from previous years, please collect it before the Summer.
The art and design department recently took part in a drawing competition which is held annually at Kelvingrove museum. Every pupil in S3 art classes took part and spent 3 hours drawing any of the exhibits in the museum. Three of our pupils were successful. Well Done
