A massive congratulations to all the pupils involved both on stage and backstage in the production of Our House. The huge amount of time and effort paid off with an absolutely fantastic show. Well done everyone!
Last year Jamie Laird and Laura McCracken were successful in their interviews for Young Sports Ambassador. Over the year they have been working hard to increase physical activity within the school by organising and running clubs. It has been a great opportunity for them to show their leadership qualities as well as their initiative in taking new ideas forwards and has enhanced their CVs too.
If this is something that you are interested in, please meet Mr Giles in the Old Gym at 10:30am on Monday 17th June.
Rock Your Shades is taking place on Friday 21st June 2013. Bring £1 to wear you shades in school all day! There will be a number of stalls and fun things to get involved in during interval and lunch.
There will also be competitions for ‘the most rocking shades’ and a ‘guess the teacher in the shades’!
The money raised from Rock Your Shades will be donated to Yorkhill Children’s Charity. This will be split between various departments that help thousands of sick children everyday, some of which are our family, friends and fellow pupils. So let’s see Mearns Castle Rock Your Shades!
