What a great performance from all the children who attend Stargaze Drama group.
Last night they performed “Bugsy Malone” at Queen Margaret Union, Glasgow and what a show it was…………..
I’m sure everyone will agree it was a wonderful performance and it’s all down to the hardwork from the pupils, staff who volunteer every Tuesday after school and Maria Antelmi who directed and produced the show.

Congratulations to Class Arran on winning an #ERedawards last night for an interactive SQA story ‘Stig of the Dump’.
6th Year pupil Euan Murphy represented his class with Head Teacher, Mrs Clark and collected the award on behalf on the class.
Last night our Stargaze Drama group had the full dress rehearsal for “Bugsy Malone”, it was AMAZING!
The costumes look amazing and the children are so excited to perform to a live audience.

On Friday 19th June, Edna Campbell who planted a tree in our old school in 1991 has been invited to come celebrate with us and help plant another tree in our new school.
This momentous event will take place, Frid 19th June at 11.00 AM.

On Friday 12th June we welcomed Dr Kate Hannah, HMIe, Drs Michelle Meredith and Christina Addlington from the Jamaican Ministry of Education.
After some introductions with Mrs Clark, Mr Crossan and our Head Boy Michael, our visitors had a tour of the school and visited some to classes to see CfE in action.
We are hoping this will be the start of a Global Collaboration project with some Jamaican schools.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Lochgoilhead 15 weekend.
We left the school in glorious sunshine and friendships began on the bus…….. and continued all weekend even in the rain.
We would like to thank everyone for supporting the weekend and making it such a success.
Our reunion will take place in September and a slideshow and DVD will be shown.

Mearns Castle High School’s Young Enterprise Scotland team Red Thistle, are proposing to design and produce a unique tartan scarf for Isobel Mair’s school uniform. Young Enterprise Scotland is a charitable organisation which allows pupils to develop their business skills though starting up and running their own company for a year.
We have just added a new place to visit on our places to visit page.
