Classes Iona and Shetland worked together to prepare and set up a sensory showcase for their families and friends from the primary department.
Everyone had a great day exploring the nursery rhyme themes sensory day.
Some of the parents then joined class Iona as part of the showcase and took part in their morning group.
Well done everyone for a great day.

This morning classes Yell, Unst and Fetlar visited St Mungo’s Museum to participate in a Holocaust workshop. The content was upsetting and our pupils responded to it in a mature manner – and, as usual, represented IMS responsibly.

Following a last minute request from our pupil council to support Children in Need, tomorrow is a dress as you please day or you can wear jeans and a yellow t shirt and donate £1.
ERA group, November Parent Support Meeting will be held on Tuesday 15th November at Carlibar Primary School in Barrhead.
ERA meets Kaos club parents, and they will feed back on the AGM consultation.
There will also be an opportunity for coffee and chat, and chance to meet other parents and families.

PAMIS’ Mobiloo
PAMIS is launching its fundraising campaign for a Scottish Mobiloo on World Toilet Day, Sat 19 Nov 2016.
Mobiloo, which is based near Oxford, are bringing up their Mobiloo to support PAMIS in their launch, and to help promote the fundraising campaign.

A PAMIS Mobiloo will give people with PMLD and complex needs the opportunities that, at the moment, are sometimes unavailable due to the lack of fully accessible toilets.

Our primary and secondary pupil council meetings took place this afternoon.

Our senior pupils were very excited that the meeting took place in the conference room.
Our Rights Respecting School group also met this afternoon and they spent some time updating their wall display.
Some of our senior pupils participated in meditation as part of their mindfulness course.
Afterwards, they reported back on how calm they felt and how well they could concentrate on their next lesson.
mAIRwaves FM have posted a new recording.
This term classes Harris and Tiree came together to record about what they got up to at the weekend.
Thank you to Zach who took took responsibility for showing Mr McWhinnie how to record mAIRwaves.

One of our pupils has lost his beloved cat called Timmy.
He has been missing since Saturday, 5th November.
Can you keep a look out for him and help return Timmy to his family who are heartbroken and desperate to find him.

SupERkids are pleased to invite the parents of our SupERkids to an event where you will learn how to use your iPad / tablet.
The Family Fund is running a project to support families to get the best from their iPads. They are running some free sessions
for families with an approved Apple Education Trainer. Training sessions will be tailored to cover topics most suited to parents’ and carers’ needs.
The session will take place on Thursday 24th November from 6:30-8:30pm.

Class Staffa visited Glasgow City Mission this morning to deliver our harvest collection.
Many thanks to Graham Stephen who met and talked with the class, explaining all about how the donations help others less fortunate.
During the discussion the pupils all told Graham what they brought in for our Harvest table. Holly told everyone she brought bananas.
