Empty Classroom Day

Thank you to everyone who took apart in our empty classroom day to inspire learning and play outside.

Every class took part throughout the day and we had
various activities planned.  We had football training with Ross from
Giffnock Soccer Club, bug hunting,  fire pit and loads more.

Thankfully the sun was shining and we all explored our
outdoor environment, learning and having fun at the same time.

Mirror Movements

Lovely interactions during an individual dance session with Ruth, one of  our dance specialists.

C was so engrossed in the session and initiating some of his own moves for Ruth to copy. He was so proud of himself.

Well done

Dispensing Clinic

Does your child require glasses and struggle to find suitable frames?

There is a Dispensing clinic at Caledonian University for children who have complex needs and Visual Impairment.

They have a very good range of frames including some which are specifically designed for children with Downs Syndrome.
It is non-profit making service so much cheaper than a lot of the stores.

Appointments can be arranged by calling 0141 331 3377 or you can  use the drop in service.

Students are always on site but everything is supervised and checked by a qualified optician.

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who helped contribute to our Macmillan coffee  morning.

We are delighted to inform you that we raised the magnificent sum of £416.81.

Thank you to Loch Ness pupils and staff for organising this yearly event.

Creative Writing in Class Staffa

Class Staffa used PODD  books  during creative writing  and story telling activity this morning.

Each pupil had to choose a character, animal, problem, how to fix it and how do they feel.
With support from class staff they were able to compose a story and then write it down.

Everyone listened to Mrs McEwan as she read out all the stories.

Have a look at some of the creative stories below.
