Sport Relief “Move a Mile”

Let’s get walking and move a mile………..

You can donate here on the Just Giving page.

For Sport Relief this year we are going to be embracing the message of “moving a mile” and will take place over the week Monday 19th March- Friday 23rd March.

Pupils and staff will walk our daily mile route and everyone will have the opportunity to count their laps and we will display the total at the end of the week.

This year we are going digital and instead of sponsor forms going home, we have set up a Just giving webpage through Sport Relief so that parents and friends can donate directly to Sports Relief.

An order form will also be sent home for Sport Relief bands if any of the pupils wish to take part in this. All details for these will be on a letter being sent home.

You can donate here on the Just Giving page.

Let’s get walking…….. and move a mile!

Lots of Socks Campaign 2018

Downs Syndrome Awareness Day

We are supporting Downs Syndrome Awareness Day on Wednesday 21st March.

All pupils and staff are invited to pay a suggested donation of £1 and wear Lots of Socks or even ODD socks to school.

Lots of socks is a fun initiative in the lead up to Down’s Syndrome Awareness Day on 21st March every year. Why socks? Well, because chromosomes look like socks and people with Down’s syndrome have an extra chromosome! “Lots of Socks” is acknowledged around the world as being associated with Down’s syndrome.

There are lots of different ways that you can do Lots of Socks including sponsored odd socks day, guess whose feet games and sock puppet making! We love to see your pictures for the day as well so be sure to send these in! If you are tweeting them, remember to use the hashtag #lotsofsocks

Senior pupils have been busy making cakes for the Red Nose Day cake sale tomorrow.

Thank you to Marc’s aunt who very kindly made and donated this delicious Red Nose Day cake to be raffled. Tickets available from the school office at £1 per strip.

Thank you to all the staff and parents for their cake donations to be sold by the senior pupils as part of the Red Nose Day activities.

Go Green for Halloween

Pupils and staff dressed up in green today for “Go Green for Halloween” to support NSPCC charity.

We had some activities organised by class Islay to raise money for NSPCC. The sensory challenge box was a particular favourite and the chocolate dipped popcorn and apples went down a treat.
Brogan helped out at the creative corner and encouraged her friends to create a Halloween picture.
