Aerial School with Every BODY Dance

What a fantastic day in the sunshine with everyBODYdance.

Pupils from classes Staffa and Skye were given the opportunity to work with Rachel and our very own dance specialists Linda and Ruth from Waterbaby Dance Company.

The staff spent time getting to know the pupils and letting them explore the equipment before getting in on the action. This was very important for some of our pupils who have autism and require extra time to process and try a new experiences.

Head Boy Girl Ceremony

Congratulations to Marc Wilson and Rob Kenwell who attended the Head Boy/Girl awards at Eastwood House this morning and received their award from ERC and Mrs Shaw, Director of Education.

They have been great ambassadors, representing the school and fulfilling their duties.

Thank You

We have raised just over £800 for Red Nose Day.

Senior pupils have still to complete a sponsored walk and the total will be updated with sponsorship money.

Thank you to everyone for all their kind donations for the baking stall and all the money for the sensory activities, pie the management etc.

A huge thank you to the senior pupils and staff for all their hard work in organising this years event, I’m sure you will agree it was a huge success.

Cassie visits IMS

Thank you to Cassie, one of our Isobel Mair School  graduates who visited the Thursday ISS@IMS group this afternoon.

Cassie chatted to the students about how she has completed supported colleges courses and is now  on a fulltime beauty course.
She discussed what it’s like to be at college and the great support she got from staff and friends.

She offered beauty treatments to the girls and they were all delighted with their manicures.

Christmas Enterprise

Classes Staffa and Jura invited their parents into class for an open morning.

The families were invited to  support pupils with their Christmas enterprise crafts.

Everyone was excited but Katie was super excited that her Dad was in class helping with their Christmas enterprise crafts.

Afterwards everyone enjoyed a get together in Teenscene with coffee and mince pies.

Look out for their crafts at the Christmas Fair on Thursday 1st December.
