At Glenwood we use Hanen’s ABC and Beyond approach to develop early literacy skills.
The programme has six main aspects:
- Turn a book into a conversation
- Make words sparkle
- Expand children’s understanding of the characters and events in stories
- Use language to think and learn
- Development of print knowledge
- Phonological awareness
