IDL Science

As part of our “A Bug’s Life” theme we have been exploring the garden and noticing the different plants.  We all were confident individuals during our outdoor learning time and were all able to actively participate in planting seeds. We had fun using a trowel to put soil into our pots and then adding the seeds. We  then left them in our outdoor area. Some of the pupils have been watering them and we have been watching them grow over the last couple of week.

Science Focus – Halloween Erupting Pumpkins!

* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTORS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS *

The Planets class enjoyed carving pumpkins today. We split into two teams and loved showing off our carvings.

This afternoon, we participated in an erupting pumpkin science experiment. We loved this as we made our pumpkins look as if they were being sick!

We used baking soda, food colouring and vinegar to make the fizzing, bubbling reaction!
