Willowbank School, KilmarnockAs part of the Transition class literacy work this week we practiced Hallowe’en Makaton Signs. The boys worked really well as a class and were Effective Contributors. The signing was very clear and a great effort was made by all. The boys also practiced their reading and writing skills ending with a Hallowe’en themed story.
Today Reece took charge and asked all the students if they enjoyed learning about the Fantastic Mr Fox…..and they all did. Fantastic!!!!
The Transition boys were Successful Learners when they worked hard on their literacy skills. They picked a book which they thought would be enjoyable and told Mr Nicoll all about the main theme from text and picture clues. Good book detective work boys!
The Transition boys enjoyed some chill-out and reading time this afternoon. We were all calm and quiet and handled the books with care.
