Willowbank School, KilmarnockThe Bluebells have enjoyed learning about the Hindi festival of Holi. The children loved that it was a colourful festival. We scrunched up lots of different coloured tissue paper and added them to a tree trunk design to make a colourful tree. Some were confident individuals and able to identify each colour the were placing on the tree.

The Snowdrops have enjoyed learning about the Festival of Holi this week. They showed lots of interest in a video about the colourful celebrations that take place during the festival. The Snowdrops then participated in splatter painting to create colourful cards to wish everyone ‘Happy Holi’.
The Daisies have enjoyed learning about the Hindi festival of Holi. The boys loved that it was a colourful festival. We burst balloons filled with colourful powder to make colourful explosions and enjoyed mark making in the powder. We made Holi flowers using colourful rice.
We were learning about Holi which is the Hindu festival, also known as the ‘Festival of Love’ or ‘Festival of Colour’.
We were successful learners when creating a smashing colourful piece of artwork.
We hid the colour and tried to guess it, we then used a hammer to hit the pad and reveal the colour. It was messy, loud and good fun!
