FAOL ECO

Global Goals 12

Responsible consumption and production

We are all effective contributors within the class. We have a recycling bin and have been putting our recyclable rubbish inside this bin. Most pupils bring in a reusable bottle each day to stop plastic waste.

FAOL ECO

Global Goals 11

Sustainable cities and communities

We have been learning about cities and communities through structured play during class. We have been building different structures with various materials including sugar cubes to make igloos.  All pupils have explored the dolls house placing different pieces of furniture into the rooms. Dolls have also been used in different rooms with conversation about what each person would be doing. Some pupils were able to name different rooms that would be in the house and the items you would find in each room.

FAOL: Goal 11- Sustainable cities and communities

We have explored how me can make responsible choices each day to protect our environment and local community.

We were responsible citizens and have been recycling out rubbish within the class, as well as our food waste at lunch time.

We have investigated what living things need to grow, and the role plants and trees have in helping the environment.  We then participated actively when planting different plants, and demonstrated our understanding by watering them daily and ensuring they has sunlight.

FAOL: Goal 8- Decent work and economic growth

We explored different people who help us and the jobs that they do.

We were successful learners and focused our attention to watch videos demonstrating different jobs.

We then demonstrated our understanding by identifying who could help us in a range of different scenarios we might find ourselves in.

FAOL: Sustainable Cities and Communities

Responsible Citizens   Effective Contributors

The Moonbeams have been learning how they can help to make our world more Eco friendly.  We made Eco pledges to switch off the lights when we are not using them, turn off taps when they are not in use, walk more, feed the birds and recycle where possible.

The pupils created informative posters and made bird feeders.
