Global Goals 12
Responsible consumption and production
We are all effective contributors within the class. We have a recycling bin and have been putting our recyclable rubbish inside this bin. Most pupils bring in a reusable bottle each day to stop plastic waste.
Global Goals 11
Sustainable cities and communities
We have been learning about cities and communities through structured play during class. We have been building different structures with various materials including sugar cubes to make igloos. All pupils have explored the dolls house placing different pieces of furniture into the rooms. Dolls have also been used in different rooms with conversation about what each person would be doing. Some pupils were able to name different rooms that would be in the house and the items you would find in each room.
We have explored how me can make responsible choices each day to protect our environment and local community.
We were responsible citizens and have been recycling out rubbish within the class, as well as our food waste at lunch time.
We have investigated what living things need to grow, and the role plants and trees have in helping the environment. We then participated actively when planting different plants, and demonstrated our understanding by watering them daily and ensuring they has sunlight.
We explored different people who help us and the jobs that they do.
We were successful learners and focused our attention to watch videos demonstrating different jobs.
We then demonstrated our understanding by identifying who could help us in a range of different scenarios we might find ourselves in.
Responsible Citizens Effective Contributors
The Moonbeams have been learning how they can help to make our world more Eco friendly. We made Eco pledges to switch off the lights when we are not using them, turn off taps when they are not in use, walk more, feed the birds and recycle where possible.
The pupils created informative posters and made bird feeders.
Check out our Eco fish!
The Beech class participated actively in this activity. The learners created their own fish from recycled plastic bottles.
The vibrant colours used really make this artwork stand out.
Confident individuals! Well done!
The Planets created some Harvest themed art by using natural materials such as recycled fiber and leaves from the sensory garden,
I think you will agree that our Hedgehogs look very autumnal!
Successful learners in the Planets class today. Fab!
The Pine class focused their attention on some sensory art. The boys and girls used marbles rolled in yellow ink to create an interesting and unusual sunflower design.
There was a lot of response to the rattling sound of the marbles. Smiles and great eye contact!
Super successful learners. Wonderful job!
The Pine class all participated actively in creating these model rainbows. Foam and wool were used to follow the colours of the rainbow.
Lots of happy smiles from these confident individuals!
