Following the death of Her Majesty The Queen on Thursday 8 September 2022 we are observing a period of National Mourning.
The UK Government has announced an additional one-off Bank Holiday on the day of Her Majesty’s State Funeral – Monday 19 September 2022.
As this falls on our September Public Holiday we can confirm that East Ayrshire Council will move this Public Holiday from Monday 19 September 2022 to Tuesday 20 September 2022.

Next Wednesday 21st September, before you are invited to visit your child’s class for Bring a Parent to School Day, P1, P1/2 and P3 parents/carers are invited along to hear about how Phonics is delivered at the early Primary stages. We are keen to show you how you can support your child at home in order to improve their Literacy abilities.
Please enter via the Community Entrance to join us at 1.45pm in the hall before visiting your child’s class at 2.15pm.
We are delighted that Covid mitigations have now eased and we can welcome our families back into school!
We would like to invite parents/carers into school to visit your child’s class, see their work and meet their teacher.

Please enter the school via the Community Entrance. At the end of each session, parents/carers will be able to leave, to go to their child’s exit point. This will allow our Covid cleaning procedures to take place before the school bell rings and children are brought outside.

Thank you to all our parents who were able to come along on Wednesday evening to our Residential Information Session. I hope everyone found it useful and are excited about our P7 adventure!
For those who were unable to make it, I have attached the PowerPoint that was shown on Wednesday to this post. All P7 pupils have been shown this PowerPoint and should be able to talk their adults through it.
All P7’s have also received a letter today outlining details of the trip. If you have any questions or would like further information, please contact Mrs Clarke at the school.
The Parent Pay link has gone LIVE today. the link is for the MAXIMUM COST, but only £50 is needed as a non-refundable deposit to secure a spot on the residential. Deposits must be paid by WEDNESDAY 14th SEPTEMBER. If you have any questions around this please contact the school.
We are hoping to keep the cost as low as possible, but as I’m sure you will understand, we are obligated to tell you what the maximum cost is in case we cannot secure additional funding.

Calling all new S1’s that transitioned from New Cumnock Primary School!
As promised, Mrs Clarke and Mrs Bradford are hosting a “Biscuit and a Blether” session to check-in with our most recent cohort of S1’s!
