Term 1 Afterschool Clubs

Please see information in the Form below about Afterschool Clubs running this term. (Please note that Choir and Football will run all session).

This term, we have focussed on our middle and upper primary classes. Please note, that we aim to introduce infant clubs in Term 2 and beyond.

Spaces are limited so register your child quickly. You will be contacted via email to confirm your child has been allocated a space.

(Please note that Football, Mary Poppins JR and Extra-Time Club will also run and families of children involved in these groups are aware.)

Cast T-shirts

This year, we are again gifting our School Show cast with Mary Poppins JR T-shirts which they can wear to rehearsals, will wear at the end of the show when all cast are on stage and also as a wee memento to keep to remember their time being part of this experience.

Can parents/carers, please complete the Form below to let us know sizes by no later than Friday 2nd May to let us get the order in.

Rehearsals

Please note that rehearsals will run on a Monday 3-4pm (song practise) and a Wednesday 3-5pm (full stage rehearsals). It is important that all cast members attend. If your child cannot attend a rehearsal, please be courteous and let Mrs McNulty know.

Stage Hands

We are looking for children who would be keen to attend rehearsals to support us with props and staging. If your child would be interested in this, please contact Mrs McNulty by email.

Choral Festival 2025

Today our school choir recorded their entry for the Robert Burns World Federation, National Choral Festival.

Well done everyone, you sang beautifully!

We sang ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ as our Scots piece and ‘Comin’ Thro’ The Rye’ as our Burns piece.

We presented Mrs Wilson with a gift to thank her for playing the piano for us all term in preparation for this competition.

Choir Christmas Events

Our school choir have been extremely busy over the festive period, singing in the community. They do say, ‘The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!’

Afton Court Sheltered Housing for the residents and staff (4/12/24)

New Cumnock Parish Church for The Coffee Bean (5/12/24)

Cumnock Hospital for the patients and staff (12/12/24)

Dumfries House for the King’s Foundation (18/12/24)

P1-3 Extra Time Club

This club will be run by Active Schools on a Monday 3-4.30pm. Children will take part in fun activities and be provided with a snack. The club will run January to April, commencing on Monday 13th January 2025.

Please complete the Form below if your child would like to attend. Email confirmation will be sent to confirm your child’s space. Limited spaces are available, so please complete as soon as possible.

Choir Award – Primary Burns Nationals Competition 1/6/24

As you have already been informed, our school choir have placed in the top 3 in Scotland for the choral competition and will be awarded our medals on stage on Saturday 1st June at Clydeview Academy, Gourock.

Please complete this Form to let Mrs McNulty know if your child plans on attending, to give her an idea of numbers of expect. Please be aware that transport on the day will be down to parental responsibility.
