What to Take to Eat

First Aid – No matter how well an expedition is planned accidents can happen and it is important that you have some basic first aid skills to deal with emergencies, especially for more remote expeditions. Here is a training PowerPoint and quiz to get you started.

Navigation – It is really important that all members of the expedition team have a good basic understanding of navigation. Have a look at this material and then get outside to practice. Remember that a few minutes planning before you start each leg of your expedition could save hours of walking in the wrong direction! Walking Safety – It is really important that every member of the group knows what to do in the circumstances of something going wrong. Basic first aid knowledge is part of that but having a clear understanding of your organisations safety procedures and appropriate planning is essential.
