And the winner is…. Lochnaw! A big well done to Lochnaw and their dedicated House Captain Colin for all their hard work and earning the most house points this term. They decided that rounders at the park was their favourite way to celebrate their victory (of course!)๐ฅฐ. At the park Lochnaw split into two teams for a fun game of tennis rounders and enjoyed some fun at the park.ย
Following their Cream Tea fundraiser success, P4-7 splashed their cash with an exclusive trip to Splashdown at the Ryan Centre, followed by a picnic and some rounders at Agnew Park!๐
The excitement was real, the countdown was complete, today was the day…
On Friday morning P4-7 came to school prepared with their swimming gear and packed lunches ready for a fun day out. They were chauffeured into Stranraer on the service bus and very kindly dropped off at the Ryan Centre by the very kind bus driver.๐
Waiting patiently on their chauffeur
Ready to go!
They changed into their swimming costumes in record quick timing, popped their bags into lockers and stood desperately at the pool edge, where they were given a quick safety briefing from the lifeguards. The whistle blew and the boys and girls bombed into the pool, racing to get on the obstacle course. Mrs Kyle and Miss Douglas helped everybody to get themselves onto the float. We had some well intended pushes, a few wipeouts (Mrs Kyle and Miss Douglas included) and lots of laughs!๐๐คฃ.
When the time was up, the very kind Ryan Centre lifeguards let us play in the swimming pool for a little while, before it was time for us to get showered, changed and ready again. ๐ฟ
Afterwards, we ventured down to Agnew Park, picked up some hoops, bats and balls along the way. We enjoyed a lovely picnic and play in the park and then split into two teams ready for a fun game of rounders; Soleburn Vs Lochnaw/ Miss Douglas Vs Mrs Kyle. Afterwards, we played a super fun game of hide and seek around the park and Thea was the winner! ๐๐
We had such a wonderful day out, thank you to everyone who donated to our stalls during the Cream Teas and to the Ryan Centre staff for making our splashdown so super fun!
What a super way to end the school year, well done Team P4-7!๐
A big well done to our fabulous P7 artist Rachael who was chosen as 1stย place prize in the ‘Dog Fouling poster’ competition from Police Scotland. ๐งโ๐จWhile playing rounder at Agnew Park on Friday, a mysterious Police Car, with sirens and blue lights buzzing pulled up and out jumped PC Jack with a prize bag.๐๏ธย She explained that Rachael’s funny tagline ‘Do you want to start yoga? Well, why don’t you start by bending down and picking up your dog’s pool’ sparked a lot of laughs in the station and was very deserving of 1stย place. ๐ฅRachael received some very fancy pens and tickets to watch Stranraer FC play at Stair Park๐.
