Maths Matters at Leswalt 📏📐✖️➕➖➗

This afternoon boys and girls from both classes welcomed their families into school to show off our Big Maths! Whether you’re Primary 2 or Primary 7, Big Maths is a big deal! We kicked off the afternoon with big business.. our Learn It tests with the added fun of our families joining in with the Primary 6-7 test! Primary 1’s had fun with their big people in the hall, showing their family members their Sumdog🖥️🐕.

Afterwards we came back together in the hall to hear about how our mummies, daddies and family members use maths in their everyday lives. The theme of this year’s Maths Week in ‘Maths Matters’ and our families sure did show us why! James’ mummy explained that at her job she needs to keep track of time when she is visiting her clients. While Stuart explained that he needs maths to add up his score in golf 🏌️. A huge big thank you to our wonderful families for coming into school this afternoon and showing us that ‘Maths Matters’!😄
