Blog to share learning of small, Scottish rural school
Just updating the Digital Picture frame and realised we missed some pictures from the end of last session. Here’s some from Active Sports:
Ten members of the school took part in the annual Tag Rugby Tournament held by Annan Rugby Club at Violetbank. This was following some in school coaching from Mr Henderson who kindly gave up his time on a Wednesday to share his expertise, thanks very much.
All children involved enjoyed the experience and Mr McBain has taken some more great pictures, thanks again, including the one above. Also, thanks to Mrs Robson for organising the strips.

Here are some lovely pictures taken by Mr McBain of our footballers in Carlisle. Whilst the football wasn’t easy against some stiff opposition everyone took part and the team organised themselves really well. Well done to all and thanks again to Mr McBain.

Primary 5 to 7 children took part in the Sprint Relay Race at Everholm. Well done to all the chidlren who took part in the race, they all had a great time and did their best for the school.
On Friday the 7th June we had our Sports Day. It was a beautiful afternoon for Sports Day and all the children had a wonderful afternoon. Thank you to all the staff for helping make the afternoon run smoothly, and thank you to all the parents who made it along to watch the children. Finally thank you to Mr McBain for taking photographs of the afternoon.
