Blog to share learning of small, Scottish rural school
Last week Mr Pickles held an assembly with the whole school, during the assembly he presented awards to the children.
Mhairi, Emily, Ellie, Fergus, Sandy Adam and Hannah got an award to taking part in the Lacrosse Tournament
Cassidy, Fergus and Amy got awards for attending Lockerbie Manor
Sarah, Tegan and Molly got the Star Pupil Awards for the P1 – 3 class
Mark, Ellie, Duncan and James C got awards for their 100% attendance

Well done to one of our ex pupils Katie McCutcheon on winning the Proxime Accessit of Lockerbie Academy 2012/13 award. Keep up the good work, and good luck for the future.
Congratualtions to Ellie, James Mark and Duncan who have got 100% attendance for this session. We are very pleased with all our childrens attendance this session, as most childrens attendance is in the high 90%. Well done everyone!
Here are some pictures from the Speech Competition last week.
Amy and Ellie both spoke extremely well and were a credit to themselves and Brydekirk Primary.
Congratulations to Amy who got a cup for third place and solid proof that she should have every confidence in her ability. This is key when moving to Secondary school. Ellie was unlucky not to place, as she delivered her speech impeccably, although being in P5, she may well get another shot or two in this competition.
Six members of our school attended the annual Springfield Primary Football Tournament this week and did their best. They won a game, drew a game and lost two games, but most of all had fun. Well done everyone.

The P7 girls had the idea and the determination to organise a charity event last term. They raised over £200 pounds, well done girls, you made a good job of your event and your efforts will help someone in need.
