Mr A saw a crow on our cameras and it stole the dove’s egg. It was on Saturday and the pupils got to see the horror!

Chrysalises Moving On
Our caterpillars have now turned into chrysalises and suspended themselves form the roof of the pot they came in. We moved them into their butterfly enclosure today where they will stay until they hatch out in one to two weeks. After they hatch their wings will be hard in a couple of hours.

The Sign for Peace in our Playground
We have a Collared Dove nesting in our rain shed. She has one egg and although the nest is not very secure she seems to be holding in there and sitting on her egg. We wish her luck with this unlikely nest site.

A Day in the Life of Duncan
In February Duncan had the V-tech camera for a day. This is what he got up to:
Very Hungry Caterpillars
We have got some baby caterpillars in school. When they turn into Chrysalises we will put them in our butterfly enclosure where they will metamorphose into Painted Lady Butterflies. We will set them free when the weather gets warmer.
