Bank of Scotland Imaginate Festival on Tour

Sally Wilson from Imaginate has asked me to forward you the following information regarding an opportunity for Parent Councils to work with them to present performances from this year’s Bank of Scotland Imaginate Festival in their school, as part of their continuing commitment to bringing productions from the Festival to local communities.

I have also forwarded this information to the parental involvement key contact in your area from the SPION group.

This year they would like to involve a selection of Primary schools and their Parent Councils from the following local authorities in their community touring programme:

 Aberdeenshire

Angus

Fife

Highlands

Perth and Kinross

This year, Bank of Scotland has offered to cover the cost of each of these performances, to offer them free of charge to Parent Councils, to support them in the creation of an exciting community event, while generating funds from ticket sales.

This year’s production is available for evening bookings from Monday 16 – Friday 20 May and from Monday 23 May – Wednesday 26 May 2011:

Is This a Dagger, the Story of Macbeth from the award-winning Wee Stories Theatre Company

Shakespeare’s celebrated play Macbeth is a tale most foul, of witchcraft, deceit and murder! However, the story of the real King Macbeth is a very different tale indeed. So why was the first king of Britain so delighted with Shakespeare’s wonderful fictional masterpiece?
