The whole school has been very fortunate to have 2 visits from Andy McKechnie from Jammin’ Fitness. Andy presented  whole school assemblies on Rights Respecting schools issues and Mindsets.

The pupils also were given the opportunity to be active and take part in some dance and fitness activities.

After each assembly the P6/7 class took part in workshops about presentation skills and leadership.

They gained lots of tips and advice on presentation skills and will put these to good use in their forthcoming assembly.

What’s going on in P6/7?

In PE with Mr Cox we have started a new block of handball. We started by practising our passing skill and then applied these to a game situation.

We brought our own clothes in from home to take part in a fashion show in class. We wrote a descriptive paragraph about our chosen outfit to be read as we modelled during the fashion show.

Angus – I liked listening to the information from the touch screens.

Alexander – My favourite bit was seeing the film about the Celtic art.

Tia – I enjoyed the handling session because I got to wear a real torc.

Meah and Sophie Lee – I enjoyed everything!!!!!

P3/4

On Wednesday 14th September P 3/4/5 went to the National Museum in Edinburgh to visit the Celt exhibition as part of our topic on the Celts.

We had a great time, learned a lot (but knew a lot too!!!!), but were not allowed to take photos in the exhibition. However we did take pictures of us enjoying the workshop where we were archaeologists for a day.

Here are some of those photos of us in action.
