After our trip to Urban Nature in November, we partnered up with them to introduce Guinea Pigs to our nursery children.
They have been in nursery a few weeks now and have settled in well. Our Children are learning how to take care of them and are starting to be involved in handling sessions now they have settled.
We invited staff, parents and children to suggest names for them and then carried out a vote.
The decision was made….. Welcome to Coco and Bean!
Some of our Am and Pm children took a walk to the local shop to buy fresh food for Coco and Bean.
Cara even brought in some home grown carrots from her Nana’s garden.

We’ve been back at nursery a few weeks now and we are all settling back into routine well.
We have been enjoying exploring faces and our bodies around the nursery using mirrors and loose parts to create faces.
Outside we have enjoyed use of new wheeled toys and ball games.
Our families came for their first stay and play session this term and the nursery staff would like to thank those who came for their lovely feedback!

As the children are showing interest in people who help us, we will begin to look at the signs for fireman and police next week. Our Nursery rhyme will be Miss Polly had a Dolly.

Welcome to the nursery blog. Each week we will share our learning with you. Please let us know what you think of our posts.
Well what a busy week it has been in nursery! Yesterday Mrs Notman had help making the snack. Some of the children helped to make pancakes for everyone. They were delicious!
In the arts and crafts area the children made gloop!
Peter said – it’s like the slime out of Ghostbusters.
Emily said – I’m like the slime monster. We’ll need a bath tonight.
Ivy said – I’m going to bring my toys in.
Freddie said – I really need to wash myself!
Jasmine said Euuuugggg!!!! there’s some in my shoes!
We also had Planet Soccer on Wednesday. Coach Danny was teaching us some cool moves! We were learning to dribble the football and stop it rolling away.
Have a lovely holiday weekend everyone. We are looking forward to seeing you all back at nursery on Wednesday.
