Friday 20th November 2020

Maya – On Thursday we went outdoor learning, we played in the mud and climbed up trees

Nathan – In PE we were playing SPLAT

Rudi – We also played Duck, Duck, Goose in PE

Archie – We were learning about The Blitz in WW2

Sophie – We learned our spelling words

Isla Mc – In PE when we were playing SPLAT Caelan and I were trying to beat each other but I won

Caelan – We play Starboard Port in PE, we had different actions for different instructions

Connor – We wrote letters to Santa

Adam – We were playing Helicopter Rescue to help us with addition

Sol – I saw a photo of a squirrel in Mrs Butcher’s back garden when we were at outdoor learning

Isla T – At outdoor learning I made a den with Alecs and Alan

Cameron – At outdoor learning we had a hot drink and a biscuit

Julia – In Maths we were learning about different triangles. One of them was a right angle triangle. We had to cut out the triangles and put them in the right box for each triangle

At outdoor learning we went to the forest near Kirton Park, we were playing games and played in the mud. We had a hot drink and biscuits.

Zack – At outdoor learning I made a fairy house

Jemimah – We played the corner game in PE

Alecs – We did a word boost search and we had to use the words from the story

 

Friday 13th November 2020

Maja – We wrote about a day that we were happy in our writing this week.

Archie – We were learning about gravity

Alecs – We made paper aeroplanes in science to test air resistance

Rudi – We were learning about shapes and made patterns

Cameron – We were learning more about 2D and 3D shapes

Isla T – We drew 3D objects

Caelan – We were learning the inertia of rest, direction and motion

Olivia – In PE we were playing team games

Connor – We were learning about hexagons, pentagons, octagons and quadilaterals

Sol – We did a quiz on different shapes and we scored higher than P7’s

Alan – We were playing splat in PE

Nathan – We did the Newsround quiz

Zack – In spelling we did rainbow writing

Isla M – We choose 4 words in Word Boost

Nicola – We made aeroplanes and tested them to see which one went the furthest

Sophie – We were looking for Boost words in Gangsta Granny

Oliver – We were learning what countries were in World War 2

Julia – We were writing words

Friday 30th October 2020

Primary 3/4 are leading their own learning in their topic work

Isla Mc – In science, we have been learning about forces

Sol – We made a witch in Halloween arts and crafts

Connor – We have been learning about different shapes

Nathan – In writing we were making a story about Halloween

Alecs – We were  counting with Numicon

Julia – We learned a new note in music, called Coca-Cola

Zack – We have been learning the 2,3,5, and 10 times tables

Alecs – We were using a dictionary to find words

Sophie – We were looking for boost words in Gangsta Granny

Isal T – We all dressed in our Halloween costumes on Friday

Olivia – We listened to the Bible story of Samual

 

 

 

 

Julia- We have been learning about weight.  We had to estimate the object and then we had to weigh the object.  We had to use grams and kilograms to measure.

Isla Mc – We created our own siphons, moving water from one cup to another using straws.

Cameron – It was really difficult, we had to try it lots of times before it worked.

Sol – We were learning to skip count in threes, to learn our 3 times table

Olivia – We talked and drew about our feelings, and our friends and family and how they can help us.

Sophie – In art we were learning about a Russian artist and we tried to copy his work.

Alan- As part of maths week we went on a maths treasure hunt, we had to use all our skills to solve the problems and find the answers

Rudi – We learned all about Bears, we discovered there are eight types of bears. We then wrote all about bears and got to draw a picture of a bear.
