P2 Achievements!

Well done to the following P2 children from Mrs Burton’s class for sharing their achievements with me this week:

– Finlay Biggar is now training with the Heart of Midlothian Football Academy. What an accolade for such a little person! Wow!

– Oliver Burt is doing extremely well in Writing and was proud to share his work.

– Freya Duncan has been busy earning lots of medals at Girls Brigade!

Congratulations to all of you! Once again, we are very proud of our fantastic children! You are all stars!

P5 Girls Brigade News!

Congratulations to Louise Clark and Anna MacCartney in P5B who recently received new badges in Girls Brigade. Well done girls for trying your best-as always! We are all delighted for you!

Callum’s Boys Brigade Medals!

Well done to Callum Woolsey in P4B who came to show me his Boys Brigade medals today! Callum took part in a Boys Brigade sporting tournament and came ‘first’ in football and ‘second’ in handball, despite having never played handball before! What a brilliant achievement Callum! We are proud of you!

P5 Brass Day!

Thank you so much to Mrs Bisson, our brass instructor, for taking two of our talented P5 children to play at the West Lothian Schools’ Brass Day. This event was held at Strathbrock Centre in Broxburn and Millie Haokip and Joanna Begarnie in P5A both attended.  Both girls loved the experience and had a wonderful day!

Ava’s Gymnastics Awards!

Ava Green in P2 came along to see me this morning with her two gymnastics awards from a competition at the weekend. Ava also told me about her lovely sparkly leotard with gem stones on it, that she worn for the competition. I think that I would like to wear this leotard too! 😝 Well done Ava!

Arwen’s Sporting Success!

Well done to Arwen Kennedy in P7B for taking part in an ‘Aquathlon’ in Aberfeldy, yesterday. Arwen had to swim 10 lengths of a swimming pool and then run 2K. Here she is with her trophy and medal.  What a great effort Arwen!

Primary Engineer Awards!

A massive congratulations to Ross Findlater in P7B and Lucy Roy in P7A for their recent success in the Primary Engineer Awards. All of our children did very well in the challenge which was to create an invention, with many gaining a ‘distinction’ pass.  Ross and Lucy’s inventions however, have been chosen to go through to he next stage in the competition. Ross invented a special type of car alarm and Lucy a device to suppprt people with memory problems.  We are delighted for you both! Thank you to Mrs Tulloch for her support with this.

Adam’s Gymnastics Award!

Great news for the lovely Adam Mathewson in P6B who celebrated his success in gymnastics this week! We are so proud of you Adam! What a star you are!

P6 Cross Country Results!

A huge ‘well done’ to all of our Primary 6 pupils for their efforts at the Linlithgow Schools, Cross Country Championships this week. Sam Featherstone in P6B came an amazing,  second place overall in the boys’ race!  We are so proud of him! Beth McGrow in P6A came a superb ‘fourth’ in the girls’ race. A special mention to Hannah Boiling in P6B for showing perseverance and having a ‘growth mindset’ on the day.  Our boys’ team will now go forward to represent Springfield at county level. What fantastic news! Here is a photo of Callum McKellar in P6B who came along to my office to show me his medal. What a brilliant effort everyone!
